What is “Amphibious” Bootcamp?

Hellbender’s Amphibious Bootcamp is a fitness challenge program based on the physical endurance and training routines used by US Navy Special Operations and Divers for training and combat. The course is much different from other boot camps, because it consists of equal parts land and water exercises, hence the name “Amphibious.” It is referred to as “crossfit in the water” by many current clients. At Hellbender’s you will be given a small taste of what actual Navy Divers, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technicians, and SEALs are put through day in and day out to achieve the supreme fitness levels that are mandatory to do their jobs.
All workout sessions are extremely intense! The most advanced tri-athlete will still get a run for their money; however, Hellbender’s welcomes all fitness levels. During the class you are welcome to take short rests, or long breaks as you see fit. Our instructors will firmly motivate you to do your best, but at no time will you ever be humiliated or tormented.
At Hellbender’s, we believe everyone has the right to attain quick results through the exertion of pain! Workouts consist of land calisthenics such as push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, squats, flutter kicks, etc.; and water exercises such as freestyle, side-stroke, and breast-stroke distance and sprint swims, buddy and rescue swims, underwater breath-hold swims, finning, buddy relay races and overall “water comfort” exercises. The course is open to anyone who is up to the challenge, but participants should be able to swim, and be fairly comfortable in the water. See FAQs or Contact Us for more information.

This combination of land to water discipline that you will be exposed to is a time and warrior tested, and proven method that will allow you to reach physical fitness levels that you never thought were possible. Can you handle what Hellbender’s has to offer?
